Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family's small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin--and suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.
Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he's never stopped regretting what happened between them. When their paths unexpectedly cross again, he's determined to make her give him a second chance.
When a decades-old missing persons case finds Corbin and Willow working together, they're forced to confront their past and who they've become--and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.
Falling for You's first sentence instantly hooked me and left me quite intrigued. I was glued to the pages from that point onward and read it as fast as possible. It was definitely hard to put down. And even though it's book two in the series, it can easily standalone.
Corbin and Willow were great, multifaceted characters. Their chemistry was off the charts and their back and forth banter was so much fun. I really enjoyed watching them learn to trust one another again.
Despite her grumpy nature, Grandma was still my favorite character. I think we've all known someone like her and I'm hoping she's in the next book more.
One of the things I enjoyed most in this novel was all the text messages, letters, phone conversations, newspaper articles, etc. at the end of each chapter. It was a fun way to add additional insight into the characters and the missing person case.
There were many times when I was laughing out loud, but also moments that brought tears to my eyes. This novel was very well balanced and as close to perfect as a romance novel can get. I can't even tell you how much I loved it! Slipping into this book and getting to know these characters was the best kind of feeling. I wish I could give it more than five stars; it was just that good! I can't recommend it highly enough and am very eager for book three!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book I received from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.
I'm Ashley Sapp and I'm a native Texan. My love of books started before I could even read thanks to my parents. In my free time, when I'm not reading, I love spending time with my four dogs, mischievous goats, and spoiled mini donkey. I have a blog, The Rustic Reading Gal, where I talk about and review books.
